Policy Making at the Presidential Villa: CEFSAR Strengthens Its Strategic Reach

CEFSAR had the honor of representing the National Assembly at the Presidential Villa, where we joined top stakeholders in Nigeria’s agricultural sector for a high-level engagement on food security.

Our mission was twofold:

  1. To observe and understudy the direction of national policy conversations on food systems.
  2. To network with key organizers and decision-makers, particularly members of the Presidential Team who report directly to the President on matters of food security.

At the heart of these efforts is the Presidential Food Systems Coordinating Unit (PFSCU), based in the Villa and led by Ms. Marion Moon. CEFSAR’s direct connection with her and her team marked a significant step in deepening our strategic presence within Nigeria’s policymaking framework.

This engagement not only expanded CEFSAR’s network but also positioned us to better influence national conversations around food sovereignty, sustainable agriculture, and the urgent need to reject GMOs in Nigeria.
